Firm Positioning Agent

A walkthrough of the Firm Positioning Agent: analyze a firm’s digital presence through an advisory lens.

This tool helps partner managers guide firms through understanding their digital presence, their advisory readiness, and how clearly they communicate their value to clients.

What This Agent Does

The Positioning Agent analyzes the firm’s website and online presence through an advisory lens. It is not focused on technical SEO or sales talk tracks. Instead, it evaluates how well the firm is positioned to grow their advisory services.

What the Agent Looks For

The agent evaluates four areas:

  • Clarity and Narrative — How clearly the firm explains who they are, who they serve, and what makes them different.
  • Advisory Visibility — Whether advisory services are visible, credible, and positioned as value-driving.
  • Digital Presence and Trust Signals — How effectively the website builds trust and supports advisory conversations.
  • Opportunities and Recommendations — Specific improvements the firm can make to strengthen their positioning.

The Three Versions

The agent offers three output options:

  • External Teaser — A quick, high-level read on the firm’s narrative clarity and advisory visibility.
  • External Full — The complete positioning dashboard with clarity, advisory readiness, trust signals, and opportunities.
  • Internal — A deeper view with additional insights that help partner managers prepare for advisory conversations.

For Batch 2, these versions are used to guide firms through understanding how they’re currently showing up online and where their advisory messaging can be strengthened.

How to Run the Agent

  1. Paste in the firm’s URL.
  2. Answer a few questions about their goals and service mix.

The agent generates a positioning dashboard, a structured way to walk through the firm’s strengths, gaps, and opportunities.

How the Partner Manager Should Use It

When running this with the firm, position the dashboard as a conversation starter, not a critique. You’re giving the firm something concrete they can react to. It helps them see how they’re currently showing up online and how that aligns with the advisory services they want to grow.

Why This Matters for Advisory

Most firms already do advisory work, but their website doesn’t reflect it. This agent helps you show them where their messaging is underselling their expertise and where small changes can make a big difference in how clients perceive their value.

How This Connects to the Other Agents

The Positioning Agent sets the stage for the rest of the Firm Growth Kit:

  1. Positioning Agent — Identifies where advisory opportunities exist.
  2. Pricing Agent — Turns those opportunities into a monetary asset.
  3. Communications Agent — Gives the firm the language to bring those services to market.
